This policy explains what information AdvantageReno collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because you should actually be able to understand what happens to your information.
AdvantageReno is operated from Queensland, Australia, and works with clients in Australia, the United States and Canada.
Who we are
AdvantageReno is a growth partner for kitchen and bathroom remodeling contractors. We build and run lead generation campaigns on behalf of our clients, and we run advertising to find new clients of our own.
For any privacy question, contact [email protected].
What we collect
If you enquire about working with us
When you complete a form on our website, on a landing page, or inside a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name and location
- Your approximate monthly business revenue, as a range
- Your website address, if you provide one
We ask for the revenue range for one reason: to work out honestly whether our service is a fit for your business before either of us spends time on a call. If it is not a fit, we tell you.
If you book a call
Our booking system records the time you selected, your timezone, and the contact details you provided so we can confirm the appointment and send reminders.
If you become a client
When you sign with us we collect what we need to actually run your campaigns and set up your systems: your business details, service area, average project value, the services you offer, and access to your advertising accounts.
Business registration details, for text message compliance
If your account will send automated text messages, such as appointment confirmations and reminders, we are required to register your business before any message can be delivered. In the United States this is A2P 10DLC registration. Carriers block unregistered business texting outright, so this is not optional and it is not something we can skip.
To complete that registration we collect:
- Your legal business name, exactly as registered
- Your business registration or tax number (EIN in the United States, ABN in Australia, Business Number in Canada)
- Your registered business address and website
- Your business type and industry
- The name, job title, email and phone number of an authorised representative of the business
- Sample messages and evidence of how people opt in to receive them
This information is passed to our messaging provider, then on to The Campaign Registry and the mobile carriers, who use it to verify that a real, identifiable business is behind the messages being sent. We do not use these details for anything else, and we do not keep copies beyond what the registration requires.
If you are a homeowner who enquired through one of our clients
We operate advertising campaigns on behalf of contractor clients. If you responded to one of those campaigns, we may process your name, contact details, project type, budget range, timeline and location so the contractor can contact you about your project. The contractor is the business you are dealing with. We handle that information on their behalf. If you want your information removed, contact us or the contractor directly and it will be removed.
Automatically, when you visit our website
- Pages visited and time spent
- The website or ad that referred you
- General device and browser information
- Approximate location based on IP address, at city or region level
Cookies and tracking
We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API on our website. These tell us which ads led to enquiries, so we are not guessing about what works. They involve sharing limited event data with Meta, such as the fact that a page was viewed or a form was submitted.
You can control this through your browser settings, and through your ad preferences on Facebook and Instagram. Blocking cookies will not stop you using our website or booking a call.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call
- To assess fit honestly before we take anyone on as a client
- To deliver our service if you become a client
- To send appointment confirmations and reminders
- To measure our own advertising so we know what is working
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers.
We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business:
- GoHighLevel, our CRM, which stores contact records, appointments and communication history
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising delivery and measurement
- Google, for calendar and email services
- Our contractor clients, but only where you enquired through one of their campaigns
- The Campaign Registry and mobile carriers, for the text message registration described above, and only the business registration details that registration requires
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Marketing messages and consent
If you give us your phone number or email through one of our forms, you are agreeing that we may contact you about your enquiry. That includes a confirmation, appointment reminders and follow up if you did not book a time.
You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text message, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email [email protected] and ask. We will action it promptly and we will not argue with you about it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that did not become clients: up to 24 months, then deleted
- Client records: for the length of the engagement plus 7 years, to meet Australian tax and record keeping obligations
- Homeowner leads generated for clients: handed to the client, and removed from our own systems within 90 days
- Business registration details used for text message compliance: held for as long as the registration is active. Once your account stops sending messages the registration is withdrawn, though carriers and the registry keep their own records under their retention rules, which we do not control
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you marketing messages
- Provide your information in a portable format
Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the Australian Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or Canadian privacy legislation. We apply the list above to everyone regardless, because it is simpler and fairer than treating people differently based on their address.
Security
Your information is held in established third party platforms that use encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to those who need it to run the business. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise, but we do not keep information we do not need.
International transfers
We operate from Australia and use providers based in the United States. If you are outside Australia, your information may be stored or processed in another country. We only use established providers with recognised data protection commitments.
Children
Our services are for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant and affects people we already hold information about, we will contact them directly rather than rely on them noticing.
